As a tourist in Dominica, you are going to hear about the famous Red Rocks. A breathtaking scenic attraction in northwest Dominica, in a town called Calibishe. This is one of the few “well-marketed tourist suggestions” in Dominica I am telling you about because it really is special. Since you are likely going to be heading there, I am going to share what the normal tourist resources do not tell you so you may optimize your experience at Red Rocks.

I recommend that you take a picnic blanket or some other floor covering, a hat, lots of sunscreen, some snacks and drinks including water. Arrive at the Rocks during sunlight but not when it’s at its zenith. Spread you blanket on the ground, in a safe location, facing the ocean where waves are crashing into the land and make the time to be still and take it all in.
