Unlike most of the places in Salento, Punto Vegetal is a haven for vegetarians and vegans.

Carnivores who wish to give their stomachs a break from meat and treat it to a nutritionally-dense meal will also like the food on offer.

My friends and I discovered Punto Vegetal while walking the streets leading away from the city center. When we arrived, the lunch crowd had just dispersed, so it was not as crowded as it tends to be earlier in the day. The salad and mango juice I had was delicious and left me happily full for the rest of the day.
