Colombia meets Italy at La Paletteria, a shop specializing in gourmet popsicles. Yes, you read that right, transforming the simple popsicle into a premium product! The owners describe the popsicles as a fusion of Colombian products with authentic Italian recipes. The best in Colombia, I don’t know. But they were undoubtedly the best I had!
Amongst the rows of vibrantly colored popsicles in the freezer, there are both traditional and exotic flavors, including strawberry, tamarind, Oreo cheesecake, and Baileys. The popsicles are either made with a water or dairy base. The mold and logo on the sticks give them a high-class, artistic look.
The Lulada flavor, a locally loved Colombian exotic flavor, I had was exquisite!
In a climate as hot as Santa Marta, La Paletteria was a welcome discovery.
