Betty’s Bowl is a hip restaurant serving delicious and healthy vegetarian food. The restaurant (more like a café) serves up exquisite looking smoothie bowls topped with edible flowers, specialty coffees, smoothies, and salads. The restaurant, named after the owner’s beloved grandmother, is loved by tourists and locals alike. I was one of those tourists when I visited Medellín in February 2020.
I discovered Betty’s after I did a Google search on ‘healthy food in Medellín.’ I craved healthy food after all the sugary coconut rice and other calorie high dishes I had in Cartagena. I liked the rainbow-colored Betty’s salad bowl so much the first time I went that I returned a second time and tried the acai bowl, which was also good.
You will not be disappointed in the food – that, I guarantee.
